The Place

A retreat
overlooking the Patagonian sea

Wake up among sheep, listen to the winds of the Patagonian steppe and watch whales in Península Valdés from one of the most authentic corners of Patagonia.

Set between the vast Patagonian steppe and the waters of Golfo San José, El Hinojo Eco Lodge is a retreat created for those seeking an intimate and genuine Patagonian experience.

The property features just two exclusive houses, carefully integrated into the natural landscape and designed to offer privacy, comfort and a deep connection with the surroundings.

During whale season, Southern Right Whales can often be seen from the coast. Throughout the year, guanacos, seabirds and other native wildlife are part of a landscape that has preserved its wild character and natural beauty.

Beyond the lodge itself, El Hinojo is also a working Patagonian sheep ranch dedicated to wool production. Here, life moves at the pace of the countryside: sheep grazing across the steppe, the constant wind and the daily rural activities that have shaped the identity of this place for generations.
